Cards

Here are some cards I made. The first one is a Sweet Poppy stencil coloured in with Wink of stella pens and a craftwork cards greeting and some distress ink.

 This one I a skyline stencil coloured with distress ink and a greeting.

This one a Stampotique stamp on a dylusions background  and some modelling paste through a stencil and some little pearl drops and some glitter paste and a greeting

 This one is some Tim Holtz stamps coloured in with derwent inktense pencils and a little gelatos and another Craftwork cards greeting.

Christmas cards

Here are some more Christmas cards I made...well actually this first one is Lee's birthday card, which is a Stampotique monster stamp slightly coloured with wink of stella pens. I added some inka gold in blue and also some ink through a stencil and some washi tape.

This one I used sparkle medium through a star stencil.....really love this stencil. Then I stamped snowflakes, the tiny snowman and Merry Christmas and added a little colour with promarkers on the snowman and then a little distress as well.

This one is two stamps with a touch of promarkers and some festive wash tape on the corners.

This one is a Hobby Art reindeer and the cool yule stamp (not sure which company that's from) mounted on some glitter paper and some washi tape on the top and bottom.

This one was the little robins also hobby art I think and the background was the same star stencil as above but this time with glitter embossing powder.

This one was a little leftover from the star stencil with the sparkle paste and then a robin and postbox stamp from Hobby Art with a little added snow and a craftwork cards greeting.

Card

Here's a card I made for my niece.....I mixed various UTEE's in the melting pot, poured them and stamped in this stampotique stamp. I then added some gilding was as well. I glued it on to the card and drew on the greeting and coloured circles and added a little distress ink in the corners.

Oh and just when you thought Distress Ink couldn't get any better.........Picked Raspberry is sent waving a flag of hot pinked wondrousness!! And mowed lawn and salty ocean aren't half bad either! When I first saw the seasonal distress inks last Autumn I wasn't that fussed as they looked pretty similar to existing colours.......and then when Spring came out I thought wow they look nice and then when Summer came out and I saw King Tim himself demo the colours I was like woahhhhhhhh.........bright colours and distress.....the world is now complete!!! And now I have the summer ones I was not disappointed and I got mustard seed to, to add to my collection......brilliant. Above are a couple of creations that I made today.....and even better I also got a Stampotique monster stamp which I have wanted for ages.......

The top one is a distress background - salty ocean and mowed lawn.....a spray of perfect pearls and the bottles stamp is from Paper Artsy and I think the greeting is personal impressions.

The second one is a background of picked raspberry, mowed lawn, salty ocean and mustard seed, plus a spray of purple dylusions ink for good measure, then the monster stamp, a paper artsy greeting and the rest of the trees etc are Katy Sue Designs.....

The bottom one is a little tiny canvas.......painted pink.....then black gesso then perfect pearls.....then picked raspberry on the chipboard shape with a little walnut stain around the edge and the purple star is UTEE with micro beads in it......

Had to post this as I just finished this picture and I am so pleased with it....

I bought some Bockingford watercolour board to experiment with - as I love to cover my creations with ink and paint etc. and I wanted a surface that was a bit more robust so that I could go mad; and it was really great to use......I didn't really know what I was going to create....so I started off just creating a background with acrylic paints, bubble wrap and lid tops stamped and a few micro beads and I left it at that with plans of adding some stamping at some point. I came back to it today and decided on using the two Stampotique stamps I have (although I wish I have more!) and I stamped those with rainbow ink pads and then used a brush and water to colour them in by just bringing in the ink from the stamped image - which is something I have been playing with over the last couple of days because I saw it in a magazine. I also did the same with the mushrooms (which are Dylusions stamps)  - I cut them out and after creating a cloud for them stand on stuck them down with matte Mod Podge. I used Staz on ink to stamp the flowers round the edge which are a mixture of Tim Holtz stamps and a couple of Hobby Art stamps; and then finally I stamped the Tim Holtz sentiment stamp with black archival - and it turned out way better than I imagined and I managed not to make any inky fingerprints on it which is my usual mistake! Oh and just to frame it I went around the edge with black soot distress stain....

I was inspired to be creative today by QVC's craft day.....

Here is a scrapbook page I made; which I was pretty pleased with. I got to use one of my new Stampotique stamps, and finally did some scrapbooking which I haven't done any of for ages. I used a lid to create the circles with paint which I thought gave a really good effect
