Well yes my blog does still exist......

I've not posted anything in ages but that doesn't mean I haven't been doing anything of course.....here are some of the cards I've made, can't remember if I've posted any of these before. I'm currently distracted by 3D printing things....but that of course will be for another post!
This one is spray inks, stamps, stencils, embellishments, prima art alchemy paints, glitter, and a few other things besides! (Paper Artsy and Lavinia stamps)
This one is mostly distress crayons, a few die cut cogs a little drawing a craftwork cards greeting
This is distress ink through a stencil and some white pen drawn on
This one is a indigo blu periodic table stamp, and distress crayons and gelatos and a paint pen on the top
This one is Seth Apter dies, some inks and gelatos etc. and some gilding flakes too
This one is pearlescent medium through a stencil and then lavinia stamps and purple ink
This one is a stamp coloured in....I've totally forgotten which stamp set this is from...sorry stamp maker! Coloured with wink of stella i think
This is ink and a background bark stamp and then another stencil with pearlescent medium
This one is a create a scene die (X cut i think) with a lovely fox
This one is watercolour crayons and paper artsy stamps
This one I think is dylusions paint and then stamps over the top and maybe some gelatos

Class of 2015!

Well it's long time no blog for me.......! So here are this years Christmas cards I've made...

I've had these sparkly flowers for a while and finally got round to using them
Some sparkle medium on black card and I've got these Tim Holtz word stickers which are really useful
Sparkle medium again....this and above are both prima stencils
There's a mixture of Oxford Impressions, Paper Artsy, Hobby Art, Dylusions and Stampendous I think. I used Derwent Inktense to colour in santa as well.
This is a Hobby Art rudolph
These are Hobby Art as well
This is Oxford Impressions with added embellishments
And another with Sparkle medium in a different colour. Merry Christmas!!

A study in Blue

I've been working on some new projects....as usual my mind is working over about 58 things some of which turn in to real things at some point now or in the future.....

So here's another canvas I decorated, testing some techniques I've read about and just basically messing about. The paints are mostly paper artsy fresco paints, with some gesso and also a pearlescent pebeo dyna paint all in shades of blue, and a touch of green and silver. I did also manage to splat paint up the wall but don't tell anyone though hehe!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Well Happy Mother's Day to all mother's out there......

Here are this years cards I made. The gold one is a variety of gold paints and gelato with a frame also then painted gold; in the background of the frame is some metallic leaf stuck down and then the letters a pre-made plastic ones that I've added some paint to (which makes me wonder if we could print some letters like this on the 3d printer.....).

Then I added a bunch of buttons and embellishments also painted and waxed and glitter added to finish.
This one is a couple of paper artsy fresco paints and then some paint through a stencil; then I made a heart and letters using a silicone mold with some modelling paste and then I added some ink and wax to the heart to colour it. A quick swipe of gelato finishes the corners.
Finally one of the monthly Splodge away kits was this wishing well kit which I thought was ideal for mothers day. I glued it all together and then I used texture paste with a splodge away stencil which came with the kit for the bricks. I then painted it with paper artsy fresco paints; these new limited edition ones are my new favourite colours (you might have noticed!!). I used texture paste with a splodge away stencil which came with the kit for the bricks. Then I filled it with chocolate hehe!!

Cards

Here are some recent cards I have made.....

The Bee one is using JOFY stamps from Paper artsy painted with fresco paints; then in the background is a die cut honeycomb on a painted background.

This one is random inks then a honeycomb stamp and I used some Splodge away numbers as a mask for the 50's and then outlined them with a white pen. Then stamped the Happy Birthday on another background and added some metallic gelato as well.

This one is birds die cut from patterned paper; with some washi tape, a craftwork cards greeting and a little distress ink

This one is JOFY stamps again coloured in with promarkers and a I hand drew the Happy birthday and mounted it one some bird house paper and added a few buttons.

Heart

Helloo! The latest Craft Barn words are heart or risk......I found another Edward Lear rhyme that contains heart.

I used Paper Artsy fresco paints in the background and some texture paste and I used texture tools and a few micro bears to create some lines and scratches etc. I used some blue inka gold around the edge. I stamped on the cow and coloured in its horns and boots - my cow wasn't a horrible cow so this must have been after it's heart was softened hehe!! I wrote on the rhyme in a posca pen and then outlined the letters with a fineliner.

Thing

Here's the latest Craft Barn challenge the choices were thing or family.

I decided to go with this poem A Song on King William the third - author unknown - although I just noticed that there seems to be a similar poem by Robert Burns also.

On my page there was still some residue of the pastels from the previous page but I then sprayed on some Dylusions. I added some fresco paint in white and then dripped on some distress reinker to make the blobs. I wrote on the poem with a green Posca pen and I stamped some Tim Holtz stamps in green archival.
