Christmas Village eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!!!

Lee has given me a Christmas present early.......it's a Christmas village so that I get time to build it in time for Christmas......good job because I think it might take me until then hehe!! SO EXCITED!!

I've already managed to use distress ink on it and it lights up and it comes with sparkly snow. That's SPARKLY SNOW, and I'm going to add in a couple of little trees I've already got as well.....so far I've done a little bit of the post office but have to take a break to watch Strictly!

Sheep

Well what d'ya know it's another letter in the alpha challenge over at the Craft Barn not many left now and this time it is letter S. So I was discussing it with my mom and we decided on sheep, so here is my page.

Basically I just really wanted to stick cotton wool to my page hehehe! Anyway so I found some sheep I'd cut out on the cricut and used them as a base and stuck them down, and then I manually cut out some heads. I stamped a few background hills and the ground with some Hobby Art scene it stamps and coloured them a little with mowed lawn distress and slight bit of walnut stain. Then finally I stuck on some cotton wool :)

Instead here's a video of a Great Tit being rather defensive of the feeder......watch out Blue Tit!!! P.S. The Great Tit is still roosting in the bird house every night woooooooooooo!!

The Magic of Christmas

Here is a little something I have made......I have entitled it the Magic of Christmas. I have wanted to create something like this for ages, I keep seeing things in magazines and on blogs and I really wanted to get a configurations box. Well I treated myself to a small one and here is a little box of Christmas joy that I created.

I started by painting the main box in a light green colour and then using flitter glu and gilding flakes around the edge. I got some Tim Holtz trees as well and I dyed this one green, I think this on was part distress stain and part Dylusions and then I added some glitter to the tree and the tiny piece of tinsel. I put cotton wool in one of the tiny bottles and sprinkled glitter on that as well, and I put little gold starts in the other bottle. I painted the two smaller boxes with gold gloss paint that I just got yesterday and already love, so it may now be used on everything hehe! Then I positioned the boxes in the larger box and stuck down the tree and then I added loads of glitters and stars and glitter glue. I also painted some glitter paint around the edge. I then found the star border that I had cut our on the cricut last year and never used, I painted that with glitter paint as well and added a few more stars and some glitter. Basically it was an excuse for me to cover everything in glitter:)

Queueing is Quintessentially British

Hello........another letter in the alpha challenge......no way......and this time it is Q! Well there are actually a lot of interesting Q words I feel I learnt a lot reading through the dictionary earlier, but not many lend themselves to being depicted in the challenge.......but in the end I decided on queue, and managed to sneak in quintessential as well!

I made a background of Dylusions, I really love that pink and yellow combo, then I picked out some characters from my stamps and made them queue! I stamped them in purple archival and coloured a few bits with a gel pen as well, and drew on the little sign. Also I just got some new gold gloss paint yesterday which I love and so couldn't resist putting some around the edge, although I nearly blocked out the definition by accident hehe!!

Card

Here's a card I forgot to post.....my auntie got me some stamps they really do look like crayons when stamped hehe! I also made a background with various inks and some texture paste through stencils and I cut out a rectangle of that and then added a craftwork cards greeting.
