Hello,

Just finished this lovely distressed creation........mostly using distress stains and inks......I had a quick look through my mom's Compendium of Curiosities II that just arrived and it inspired me to create this card. I really love the colours being really bold but yet the white main image is not overshadowed. I stamped that image (Paper Artsy) with picket fence stain and then just went over it a little bit with a white pencil after I had used the distress inks on the background. The little flowers and leaves around the edge are Hobby Art stamps and this particular set is becoming a favourite of mine.......the little flowers are so useful in so many ways, the black ones are in archival ink and the rest are in distress. I then used the cut n dry nibs to colour them in.......these little nibs are something I can't rate highly enough they are so brilliant for colouring with distress. The chipboard sentiment is a couple of Tim Holtz stamps and some rock candy crackle paint and distress stains.....

Here is a picture of the raspberry brownie I made before we eat it all!

It was the cover recipe from this month's Good Food magazine.....and it's super chocolaty!

Happy Easter!
This is a card I finished yesterday and is completely unrelated to Easter! I finally got my hands on some Kraft card that is everywhere at the moment and I think I am going to get quite a lot of use from it.......using it for the card base and the sentiment below and I also got some Core'dinations Kraft core card as well which is the red sanded layer.

I had been trying to make the foreground all week......I got out my brayer as I hadn't used it in a while and I wanted to make a sunset type background......anyway I did a pretty good job (If I do say so myself!) and I chose the Zeppelfish stamp (Paper Artsy) and then I went and smudged it all everywhere and my attempts at saving it didn't work.....so I made another attempt a couple of days later.....only I was concentrating so hard on my brayering I forgot to use a sun mask.....so instead I just ended up with a graduated background......well I thought I'm not doing it again so I will make use of this and stamped the Zeppelfish again this time making very sure it was dry so I wouldn't smudge it again.

I used cut and dry nibs to add some detailed colour onto the stamp with distress inks.....then a bit of distressing round the edges and a Tim Holtz stamp round the edges to finish it off.

Oh and the sentiment is a Paula Pascual one.

Surely it must be time for some chocolate now.....! Ooh which reminds my I also baked a raspberry and chocolate brownie which was the cover recipe from this months Good Food magazine......maybe I should get a photo of that and post it......it is super chocolated!
