Sulphur and cake

Just realised I forgot to post Sulphur that I finished last week....here it is....background is a swirl stencil and random Dylusions

And here is a coffee cake I made....I bought some coffee extract and wanted to test it out; I added fudge pieces too but they all melted and stuck to the tin d'oh anyway I rescued those and put them in the middle bit and also made some coffee butter cream as well and added a few more fudge pieces on the top.

Silicon and Phosphorus

Well I haven't done any elements pages for ages.....I actually finished off Silicon last week and I've just completed Phosphorus, I've had quite a few backgrounds completed for a while but not got around to adding on the information for each element. The backgrounds are a variety of Dylusions and stencils

Cards

Here are some more cards I've made..

For the Christmas card I used texture paste through an old brass stencil I've had for years, and then I went over the top of that with distress ink evergreen bough. I tore out the snowman and glued it on the card and added some ribbon, a Christmas tree and bauble that I found in a random box of Christmas shapes, I stamped on a greeting (Hobby Art) and then I used gold shimmer mod podge and added some Stampendous glitter which is really sparkly :)

I got a mystery box from Paper Artsy which was totally full of new goodies, I painted a background with Fresco finish paints and then stamped on the football image I tore that out and added a greeting.

Octopus

Letter O this time for the Alpha Challenge

I had a little think and decided to choose Octopus

I drew an Octopus, except the first time I drew it I realised it only had seven legs hehe, so I added in another leg and cut it out after already spraying various Dylusions on to some paper, and added a little white gel pen here and there.

I painted the dictionary page with Paper Artsy fresco paint, then I glued on the Octopus with matt mod podge and added some googly eyes. Finally I stamped on some star fish in keeping with the Octopus type theme.

Papier mache bird

Here's a little bird I made from papier mache......

I used wallpaper paste and newspaper for the base.....then once it was dry I painted it with gesso. Then I chose some acrylic paint colours and added a few layers until it was fully covered, and I used some black gems for the eyes. Oh and whilst I was making the initial bird I added in some wire legs that I just made really roughly by twisting round the wire.

Birdie Card

hehe get it? Sorry terrible joke. Anyway here is a card I made.

The hats are all from Lost Coast Designs I totally love all their stamps, and the bird I'm not sure he was just a one off stamp I got and not sure about the Happy Birthday either that was just another one little stamp on it's own. Anyway I started by taking some grunge paper and embossing it with two Tim Holtz folders the circles the one that looks like rays of sunshine I used various distress ink colours on the paper to highlight the embossing and then I cut those out on the Big Shot with stars and rectangle dies. I edged them all with walnut stain. I cut out the birdie and the hat and also coloured them with some distress ink and a craft nib. I am not the biggest fan of cutting stuff out but I got there in the end. I also stamped the greeting on some paper and cut that out, and the green on there is distress stain. Then I layered them all up to create the finished card.

Doodle

Alpha challenge time again.....this time it's letter D - here's the link

I had to browse through the dictionary to get inspiration and that came when I saw doodle....so here is my page.....nothing complicated just literally doodled with a few fineliners....

Christmas already

Well I've already made a couple of Christmas cards because I really wanted to use some Tim Holtz masks that I had................wooooooooooooo!!! I masked off the sleigh and stamped over the snowflakes in red and also blended some of the green/grey which I think is Iced Spruce and maybe another one. Then I used a bit of the same paper and stamped on the greeting and mounted it on some silver card. Then the other one I used the snowflake mask on patterned paper and just mounted that on a couple of different cards, added a greeting and some glitter.

I also had some new stamps including birds because I am bird crazy and here is a card I made, I stamped the image in black archival and coloured it with a craft nib and distress inks, and then I blended some ink around the edge as well, and finally stamped on the greeting.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Well what to get the old fatherkins (sorry less of the old!) for his birthday.....I decided to procure an alphabet of beer, mostly courtesy of beer hawk, and to accompany it I created a little booklet, here are some of the pages and the beer in all it's glory on the kitchen floor hehe and a picture of the birthday boy himself!!

So the little book itself is mostly a lot of Dylusions ink everywhere! Plus a bit of Distress ink, a few stamps here and there plus an alphabet set for the letters, and good old mod podge for the gluing; and I remembered the merits of a white gel pen on the cover. I punched each page and tied them together with a couple of pieces of twine that I'd also dyed with ink, oh and I added a little sparkle on the front with perfect pearls.

Then to the card which is Distress stains and perfect pearls in the background, then Dylusions on some paper and then I stamped the map stamp which I think is Papermania, and a Tim Holtz Enjoy the journey stamp and tore them out and edged them with ink. I stuck them down with washi tape, oh and I had an off cut where I'd used texture paste through a stencil and inked over it. I took some plain chipboard letters and used alcohol inks and then rock candy crackle paint.

And that I believe is it..........................phew!!!!!!!!!!
