Flower

It's challenge time again.....the words this time are flower or travel each time I think ooh there will be loads of rhymes but then I end up spending hours searching for something I like. Finally I found this poem How Doth the little busy bee by Isaac Watts.

I drew the border first and then coloured round the edge with orange and yellow pastels. I then drew the flower with pastels as well. I cut the bee out on the cricut and then I wrote out the first verse of the poem and drew on a few little flowers as well.

Others things I've made

I've not posted in a few weeks so here are some more things I've made...

This one is pretty much all craftwork cards stuff; plus some added picked raspberry distress ink

This one I used a stencil with some texture paste and then used distress ink over the top; then a couple of mats and gems, and I cut out the 40 on the cricut

This is a ginger and treacle tray bake, from one of the Great British bake off books

This one I used a new stencil in the background using pastels and distress inks; added a couple of mats and pearls; I coloured the little wooden robot I think it was with alcohol inks and metallic glaze and a craftwork cards greeting
Finally I made this with my new Lavinia stamps......love these!! I made a background with Dylusions and then stamped the fairy houses etc and added some colour with distress inks and a craft nib, and added a touch of glitter and a greeting

Art

Just got this one done in time......the latest Craft Barn words are Art or Road, I found a little rhyme by Frank Gelett Burgess.

Remarkable truly, is Art! See—Elliptical wheels on a Cart! It looks very fair In the Picture up there; But imagine the Ride when you start!

I made a background with distress stains and fresco paints and a stencil; then I just drew on the rhyme and the cart and just accented it slightly with a gel pen.

OMG is this the beginning's of a nest?!!

EEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppppppppp!!!

Camera was broken so I restarted it and was greeted by the start of nesting material.......wooo!!

Marriage and age

Gooooooooooooood Evening!

Here is my page for the latest Craft Barn challenge this time the words are marriage or age. Well I thought there must be a good rhyme about marriage but I searched for ages and couldn't find anything I liked, until eventually I found the poem The Chaos by Charivarius aka Gerard Nolst Trenite which is all about the nuances of the pronunciation in the English language - which is perfect because I'm always on about stuff like that and it contained both marriage and age!

To create my page I used a background of distress stains, then I printed off the poem and distress stained that as well and folded it a bit and stuck it down so that you can just see a portion of it. Then I used black soot distress ink through a stencil, then I used a fluorescent pink gel pen to write the words, title and also used that a little through the same stencil. Finally I covered most of the page with Paper Artsy metallic glaze.

Mousey

Mousey made a visit to traycam - sat there for about 20 minutes!!!!

New bird camera

Hurrah after much cajoling I finally got Lee to fix camo dome - which actually isn't camo or dome anymore.....but here I introduceth tray cam!! It may have something to do with the sun coming out.....anyway after much fixing and adjusting all three cameras are working :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I'd kept seeing long tailed tits in the garden but they never go on the feeders so not on camera.....however, now with tray cam we have some new stars, plus Mr and Mrs pigeon who manage to get everywhere they even stand on top of the other camera to reach one of the feeders......cheeky ;)

So tray cam's up and running so here is the first video of a long tailed tit.

Earlier in the day....in broad daylight there was also a mouse on there.....this was before the camera was there......so hopefully we'll get some interesting footage. Good day for birds all round, they like us must have been waiting for a bit of sun :)
