Happy Mother's Day!

Well Happy Mother's Day to all mother's out there......

Here are this years cards I made. The gold one is a variety of gold paints and gelato with a frame also then painted gold; in the background of the frame is some metallic leaf stuck down and then the letters a pre-made plastic ones that I've added some paint to (which makes me wonder if we could print some letters like this on the 3d printer.....).

Then I added a bunch of buttons and embellishments also painted and waxed and glitter added to finish.
This one is a couple of paper artsy fresco paints and then some paint through a stencil; then I made a heart and letters using a silicone mold with some modelling paste and then I added some ink and wax to the heart to colour it. A quick swipe of gelato finishes the corners.
Finally one of the monthly Splodge away kits was this wishing well kit which I thought was ideal for mothers day. I glued it all together and then I used texture paste with a splodge away stencil which came with the kit for the bricks. I then painted it with paper artsy fresco paints; these new limited edition ones are my new favourite colours (you might have noticed!!). I used texture paste with a splodge away stencil which came with the kit for the bricks. Then I filled it with chocolate hehe!!

Somewhere over the rainbow....

Well I made this rainbow today.....I started it a while ago.....by creating a rainbow of Dylusions ink sprays on a canvas board then I left it for a while and I just uncovered it today and thought hmm I think I'll finish this off.

Basically it's an assortment of buttons, sequins, glitter, beads and other embellishments; with some added assortments of paint, glazes, waxes and whatever else sprung to mind....

The true hero of the piece other than the power of the rainbow itself was Golden's extra heavy gel medium which just sticks everything down but in a less gluey way than glue and is just an excellent medium to work with.

Cards

Here are some recent cards I have made.....

The Bee one is using JOFY stamps from Paper artsy painted with fresco paints; then in the background is a die cut honeycomb on a painted background.

This one is random inks then a honeycomb stamp and I used some Splodge away numbers as a mask for the 50's and then outlined them with a white pen. Then stamped the Happy Birthday on another background and added some metallic gelato as well.

This one is birds die cut from patterned paper; with some washi tape, a craftwork cards greeting and a little distress ink

This one is JOFY stamps again coloured in with promarkers and a I hand drew the Happy birthday and mounted it one some bird house paper and added a few buttons.
