Proud

Hello blogland! Just sneaked this one in on time.......for the Craft Barn challenge, this time the words are proud or vintage. I searched and searched and almost gave up and eventually ended up with this nursery rhyme.....that includes the word proud. Apparently a moppet is a rag doll!

To create my page I used opaque paper artsy paints in the background. I then wrote the quote with a molotov pen. I stamped JoFY stamps in black archival and then used translucent paper artsy paints and also the metallic glaze to paint the stamped images. Finally I added a little distress ink peacock feathers and black soot around the edge.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!

Here is this year's card......using my new Paper Artsy stamps. The flamingo is on a background of Dylusions and it's all stamped with blue archival. The letters were already decorated.

New bird videos

The garden has been full of birds the last two days, must be the nice weather :)

Here are some more clips - there were about 5 or 6 Great Tits flying about all at once, didn't catch them on video at the same time but these clips have got two or three on them....

Here's a still of them too....

Mountain

It's another Craft Barn challenge; this time the words are mountain or mistake. As usual the search began for a quote that inspired me, and I actually saw this quote via Goodreads pop up which was perfect for the task. It is a quote from The Land of Heart's Desire by W.B. Yeats.

Here is my page.

I used two distress inks to create the blue background - salty ocean and peacock feathers. I then used part of a splodge away stenskape to create the mountain with black distress ink. I stamped the lavinia ivy at the top with archival ink. I then wrote out the quote with a white posca pen and then outlined all the letters with a pink wink of stella. Finally I stamped on the fairies and stars (also lavinia) and coloured in their wings with pink and purple wink of stella pens.
