Card

Here's a card I made for my uncle who collects glass bottles, which is great because it's another excuse to use my poison bottle stamps from Craft Individuals.

I used my ink blending mat to create a background with distress inks, then I used some gloss mod podge through a stencil then once that had dried used some more ink over the top with the mod podge acting as a mask. I stamped the bottles on some separate paper and coloured those with distress ink as well and cut them out, added in a little shading and stamped a birthday greeting and stuck that on too.

Uranium

Well what to do for the letter U - this is the next letter in the Craft Barn's alpha challenge

Lee said Uranium and the first thing I thought of was Homer Simpson working in the nuclear power plant - not sure what that says about my mind but anyway here's what I came up with.....

I printed off a picture of Homer mod podged it down.....then I coloured in the remainder of the page with oil pastels, I love how bright they are which fits in with the cartoon picture. Then another opportunity to use my Crafty Individuals poison set which I love. That was that, quite simple but effective I think.

Element

The new letter in the Craft Barn's alpha challenge this week is E.

I decided to choose element - as it fits in with the elements pages I have been doing and gave me an excuse to use my Crafty Individuals bottles of poison set......seeing as a lot of elements are poisonous....

Here is the link to the E challenge page: Craft Barn E challenge
I started off by using paint dabber's peach and lemon for the background.......and I printed off a tiny periodic table and sprayed it with lemon Dylusions and glued that on to the page. Then I stamped various poison bottles etc.  from the Crafty Individuals set and highlighted some of them using a craft nib and distress inks and then I distressed around the edges....
